Ben To Cowledge 

    Ben To Cowledge is a 1994 sorrel stallion. He is by High Brow Hickory and out of Skeets Lynx. Skeets Lynx is by Doc's Lynx and out of Skeets Lass by King Skeet. Skeets Lynx is the producer of Ms Dual Lynx, an NCHA Futurity Amateur Finalist as well as an NCHA money earner. Skeets Lynx’s dam, Skeets Lass, has Lifetime Cutting Earnings of over $13,000 and is the producer of NCHA money earners. The pedigree for Ben To Cowledge is loaded with producers and performers, so the fact that he is also a performer should come as no surprise.

    'Ben' was bred by Olson Farms, Stevensville, MT and purchased as a weanling by The Graduate Partnership, Columbus, MT. He was sent to cutting horse trainer Bill Murphy the winter of his three-year-old year and started his show career the following spring. 1998 was his first show season and the highlights were:

• Montana Cutting Horse Association Open Derby Reserve Champion.
• Meadow Vue Ranch Cutting Derby Finalist, winning both go-rounds.
• Montana Cutting Horse Association $1,000 Novice Horse Champion.
• Top Ten NCHA Area 4 $3,000 Novice Horse.

  He has since earned:

• NCHA Certificate of Achievement.
• Madison Valley Novice Horse Circuit Champion.
• Jacob’s Island Park $3,000 Novice Horse Circuit Champion.
• Idaho Cutting Horse Association Classic Challenge Finalist (35 Entries).
• Montana Cutting Horse Association $3,000 Novice Horse Champion.
• NCHA Area 4 $3,000 Novice Horse Champion. 
• Montana Cutting Horse Association $10,000 Novice Horse Champion.
• Montana Cutting Horse Association Open Reserve Champion.

   Ben's NCHA Life Time Earnings are just over $8700 and his Lifetime cutting earnings are over $11,000.

   We have been very impressed with the consistency of Ben’s babies. They all have the same big hip and are inquisitive and independent. We have a nice selection of weanlings and yearlings for sale, including a very flashy full brother to the 2001 Madison Valley Cutting Futurity Champion. 

    We would like to thank the Graduate Partnership for allowing us to purchase this fine stallion. We would also like to express our gratitude to the mare owners who have recognized his potential and bred their mares to him. We would especially like to thank Bill and Stefanie Murphy, because without them, Ben would be just another nicely bred horse. Instead, they have given us a Winner!
